At the end of his apprenticeship he receives a letter of appreciation for his work and decides to open his own clock repair workshop in Rialto.

Antonio decides to move, with all his family, to Lake Como. Here he continues the restoration of timepieces in the city centre close to the Roman walls that surround it.

The specialized workshop expands and develops, employing new artisans. From this, "Clessidra" was founded, a company in which mechanical skills are developed and the art of chiselling is perfected. The creation of timepieces inspired to antique clocks begins

“Clessidra” exhibits its timepieces at the international jewellery show in Paris, which at that time reserved a special space for all products of superior craftmanship value. Here, thanks to the knowledge and collaboration with a Swiss company, “Clessidra” is introduced to the world of Swiss clockmaking.

La Vallée is established in its current location, expanding its workforce and acquiring new machine tools for the production of timepieces. The long-dreamed project becomes reality and the first La Vallée workshop is presented at the Basel International Clock Fair.

In the following years, La Vallée reaches its highest production level. The range of models is extended and the first limited series are introduced. The table clocks are therefore enriched with elements in semiprecious stones such as lapis lazuli, mother of pearl and malachite.

A fortuitous encounter, a great opportunity: La Vallée receives a request to carry out an ambitious project: a timepiece more than two metres high, entirely personalized and enriched with rare crystals and semi-precious stones. The company sees a great possibility and decides to concentrate all its efforts in finding the resources needed to complete that magnificent project.

The model 1855, produced in solid silver and in a limited series with lapis lazuli, rock crystal and mother of pearl inserts, is presented.

Scale reproductions of particular objects, all exclusively in precious material and united by a harmonious search for exclusivity and an elegant uniqueness.

Jewellery and goldsmithing become increasingly part of La Vallée's creations. The international clientele is attracted by the timepieces exhibited every year at the Basel Watch Fair.

In the splendid setting of Palazzo Del Principe in Genoa, La Vallée receives the award as the best Italian company for its activity aimed at the Swiss market, in the development of innovative projects capable of giving competitiveness to a traditional product such as table clocks.

Elegance and attention to detail is also expressed in the most modern and contemporary creations. The multi-complex mechanisms are adorned in crystal and steel alloy cases. Their finishing touches are applied strictly by hand with the same attention to detail used on the components of the mechanism.

The peculiarity of this realization lies in the possibility of opening the theatre model on command, thus showing all the details of the interior, both in the concert and in the theatrical configuration.

These devices, which go beyond traditional mechanics, become able to implement and govern increasingly complex functions.

The time the sun rises, the duration of dawn and dusk, the position of the stars in a specific location, the true solar time, the moment in which the eclipses of the moon or sun occur, are among the information that La Vallée timepieces can indicate day by day, minute by minute.
